This fall Black Women Film! Canada is back with another amazing opportunity for Black women-identified film and media artists! We are excited to bring you another one of kind leadership program alongside exclusive access to the Toronto International Film Festival industry conference. This years theme focuses on feature film development, narrative film, web series and looking ‘beyond’ the feature through the lens of the director, writer, media artist, distributor and/or producer. This program is made possible with support from the Canada Council for the Arts and brought to you in partnership with TIFF, Canadian Film Centre, National Film Board, Toronto Media Arts Centre, CBC and more industry partners .
Apply today to be part of a fully subsidized experience geared to offering Black women filmmakers and media artists with access to small group mentorship, tailored workshops and an amazing community of Black women industry collaborators and content creators. Join us as we navigate exclusive masterclasses with some of the world’s most celebrated professionals, industry parties, networking events, and screenings.
Get ready to elevate your career, develop a new network of collaborators, meet an incredible group of Black women content creators and rub shoulders with top industry experts from around the world. Participants will also have the opportunity to screen their work, develop current scripts and gain direct mentorship…it’s ideal if you have something to share during the intensive that you would like support or feedback on.

This exciting opportunity is open to emerging and mid-career Black female-identified film and media artists who have created at least one film or media arts project exhibited in a professional context* and are seeking that boost of support to take their career to the next level as directors, writers, producers, media artists and filmmakers.
To be eligible for this exciting opportunity participants MUST be available for ALL of the following dates.
September 6 : Participants & Alumni Breakfast Welcome
September 6 - 13 : TIFF Industry Conference (day time ). Canadian Film Centre BBQ and select industry events
October 4 (evening), October 5 - 6 (full weekend & evenings), October 7-9 (evenings), October 10 (all day) & October 11 (evening) : Black Women Film Leadership Program (evenings & weekends)

*Candidates who have already attended a Black Women Film Leadership program are not eligible for this opportunity.
