WHERE ARE ALL THE BLACK WOMEN AT?!
CALLING ALL EMERGING & ESTABLISHED BLACK FILMMAKERS & MEDIA ARTISTS IN CANADA!
Help us encourage collaboration and increase visibility of Black women in Canadian film, video, and media arts by filling out and sharing our short survey. The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete.
With your permission, your names, bios, photos, and video links that you share will be used to promote your work through our social media channels, a new directory, and in an industry report that we hope to distribute widely. With this ongoing campaign, we hope to increase public and industry awareness of local Black film and media creators and enable more opportunities for collaboration and connection.
While this survey and campaign seek to highlight the growing community of Black women-identified filmmakers and media artists in Canada, we welcome all Black filmmakers and media artists of ALL GENDERS to complete this survey and join our mailing list - as we will be organizing some larger networking and screening events that promote the community at large this fall!
PRIVACY STATEMENT: You are free to share as little or as much information as you want in the BWF! Canada survey. All contact information for the filmmakers and media artists will be kept confidential by BWF! Canada. Other information collected (i.e. names, filmography, photo, etc) may be shared publicly and celebrated via our social media platforms, only with your expressed permission (provided via the survey). You will also be asked in the survey if you agree to have your email address added to the BWF! mailing list and, if you wish, you may click “Yes”. The database, in its entirety, will not be made available to the public.
